The Eyelid Centre specialises in offering only eyelid surgery. Specialising in this type of surgery allows us to be very cost effective in offering Blepharoplasty eyelid surgery, Entropion/Ectropion correction and Ptosis repair using specifically trained Oculoplastic eye surgeons. This section outlines blepharoplasty surgery, along with the other eyelid procedures we offer.
Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty
As we get older, our skin loses its suppleness and elasticity, upper and lower eyelids begin to look droopy and bags form above the eyes. This can give your face a tired and sad expression, even though you may be feeling on top of the world, and for ladies, applying make up can be difficult. This problem can be corrected with specialist eyelid surgery know as Blepharoplasty.
With age, the skin and muscles of the eyelid can become lax, causing it to turn inwards (entropion) or outwards (ectropion). Symptoms can be reduced by specialist corrective surgery, usually performed as a day case under local anaesthetic.
As we age, our upper lids may start to droop and partly cover the pupil, negatively affecting your vision and causing your eyes to have a tired, sleepy appearance. Ptosis can be corrected with specialist surgery that changes the height of the eyelid.
